Following the closure of nominations for the Welsh Youth Parliament, the local Member of the Senedd for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire, Samuel Kurtz MS, is urging young people to sign up and register to vote.
Discussing the importance of the Welsh Youth Parliament, Samuel said:
“The Welsh Youth Parliament has played an incredibly important role in shaping policy for young people right across Wales – from leading the way on mental health policy to shining a spotlight on climate change. Members have played a pivotal role in changing Wales for the better.
“This is not just about politics. This is about our environment, your education, our health. It’s about everything that matters to young people across Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire.
“By engaging in the democratic process, you can use the Welsh Youth Parliament as a platform to amplify your voice, ensuring that your views, concerns and issues land on the First Minister’s desk.”
Samuel finished by saying: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people, and one that shouldn’t be missed. You can find more details on how to register to vote for the Welsh Youth Parliament elections by visiting https://youthparliament.senedd.wales/.”
